Picture Perfect? Not Quite! 📷🍁🍂

Mommy decided that since the weather was beautiful and the leaves were starting to change colors, it would be the perfect day for a family outing.

So off we went! Mommy, Daddy, Abbie, Annie, Gracie, and yours truly!

We went for a nice hike, enjoyying the fresh air, all the interesting smells, and plenty of opportunities to stop and investigate things along the way. After all, what’s a hike without a little sniffing?

Along the way, we came across a beautiful, clear lake surrounded by trees just beginning to show their fall colors. The reflections in the water were so pretty that Mommy decided it was the perfect spot for a family picture.

Sounds simple enough, right?

WRONG!

You see, getting four dogs to look at the camera at the same time is apparently a lot harder than Mommy thought.

One of us was looking right. Another was looking left. One lying down behind us. Someone was probably watching for squirrels. And the rest of us? Well, we had mor important things to do than pose for pictures!

Mommy kept trying to get everyone organized, but we weren’t exactly following directions.

Finally, I decided somebody needed to show my sisters how it was done!

I found a nice spot by the water, sat down, looked straight at the camera and struck my best picture-perfect pose. Mommy likes it when my ears are up for some reason.

“See, girls? THIS is how it’s done!”

Honestly, I don’t know why they make it so difficult. Sit, look adorable, collect treats. It’s not that complicated!

Personally, I think our family picture turned out just fine. After all, we’re four sisters with four different personalities, and getting us all to cooperate at once would take a miracle!

Besides, who needs a perfect picture when you’ve had a perfectly wonderful day together?

And between you and me, I think Mommy should just be happy we were all facing the general direction of the camera!
