The Alarm Incident🚨🐾
So… we had a little situation at our house.
Mommy and Daddy went out and left us girls home alone. No big deal. We can handle ourselves.
Until…
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
THE SMOKE ALARM STARTED SCREAMING!
There was no smoke. There was no fire. There was absolutely NOTHING happening that required this level of drama.
But that alarm did not care.
It was SO loud that our neighbor could hear it from outside! She came over to check on us and make sure everything was okay. Abbie and Gracie planted themselves by the door, waiting for Mommy and Daddy to COME HOME.
But my sister Annie was scared.
So, I stayed with her.
I’m usually the one around here with plenty to say, but this time I had a more important job. I stayed close to Annie and tried to take care of her while we waited for Mommy and Daddy to come home.
Our neighbor tried to make the horrible, loud noise stop, but it just kept going.
Meanwhile, Mommy and Daddy were on their way home, just hoping they wouldn’t turn onto our street and find a bunch of fire engines sitting in front of the house! 🚒😐
Luckily, they didn’t!
FINALLY, Mommy and Daddy came home!
We were all safe. There was no fire and no smoke — just four very nervous little girls who were VERY happy to see their hoomans.
And Annie?
Don’t worry. Her big sister Cadie had her covered. 🐾💖🐾
I think I earned some extra treats for that.
XO
~Cadie
